Oriental City is a chaotic and large restaurant usually packed with Chinese clientele (and a few Dutch fans!). Although, the service can be somewhat rude, the quality of the food makes you quickly forget. If you are really into Dim Sum the steamed prawn wraps and pork buns are an absolute favourite. The sweet and tasty coconut jelly makes for a perfect ending.

The Blue Pepper is no ordinary Indonesian restaurant; it’s the home of Indonesian nouvelle cuisine.The female chef, formerly of the Michelin star restaurant Spandershoeve (Hilversum), has many 'rijst tafels' to her name. But you won't find them here. We highly recommend that you let her decide what you eat. We had light and healthy steamed lompia's followed by rendang, ikan pepes, udang Kecap, saté ayam and kambing. Absolutely Heavenly! Don't forget to try the unusual black sticky rice ice cream served with a coconut stuffed pancake.

Tempo Doeloe fits perfectly amidst its other Asian neighbours, on the Utrechtsestraat. Once you make it past the door (ring the bell and wait) you will enter into a haven of delicious and authentic Indonesian cuisine. The deserts are very delicious, especially the deep fried banana sprinkled with fresh ginger. In our humble opinion, one of the best Indonesian restaurants in town! Take away is possible if you beg.
