Café de Kuil -420 café
Oude Brugsteeg 27
The home of over-indulgence, decadence and other self-abusive freedoms Has an alcohol license and excellent music selection, friendly staff. They don't serve food but there is a little burger joint across the way that is cheap and serves mouth-watering fries.

Dutch Flowers

Singel 387

One of the best pure pre-rolled joints in town. 6.00 EU but worth it.  Not much seating, but they do have a couple of tables outside that are perfect for sitting and enjoying a beer with your smoke in the warmer weather.

Amnesia

Herengracht 133

Funky, Moroccan style deco,  in sexy reds. Very friendly staff, great coffee and deserts. Decent menu selection. Cool T-Shirts for sale. For the curious, there is a mini " red light district" adjacent to the coffee shop.

Old Amsterdam

Amstelstraat 35

Colorful and cozy, very large menu selection, laid back atmosphere.Great spot to people watch through the front windows.

The Other Side

Reguliersdwarsstraat 55

Amsterdam's only Gay Coffee shop
Small but busy, techno music in the background.

Ocho Steakhouse is right next door and is a fantastic place to eat dinner

Paradox

Bloemdwarsstraat 2
In the Jordaan, serves a great organic lunch, fresh squeezed juices, and wicked tunes, usually jazz and blues.

Noon

Zieseniskade 22

Small and friendly coffee shop frequented by locals , as it's off the beaten track. Warm ambience, combined with relaxing cushions,  invite you to spend a lazy afternoon hanging out with the local rastas.
