When I was given the opportunity
to live and work in Amsterdam for six months,
I decided to chronicle my dining experience.
Having worked in a variety of hospitality industry
jobs for over 15 years, I have seen the good,
the bad and the " Oh Crap !", in all aspects of dining,
drinking, catering and special events.
Tip of the Day:
Although most of us are quick to speak up or complain when the service or food quality is poor...how many of you will take the same amount of time to mention when it is good or even great?
Most servers work for very low wages and get taken for granted, even when they are going above and beyond . If you are impressed, let the management know. Leave a note or a business card with a Thank You. You'd be surprised how much a simple Thank You can mean to both the manager and employee. Enjoy your Meal!
